Dr Khalil is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist currently working in the Psychiatric Department, HSNZ. He completed his Medical Degree in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2005 and completed Masters in Medicine (Psychiatry) in USM in 2015. Dr Khalil’s training in the Neurology rotation as part of the Masters program had sparked his interest in the field of neuropsychiatry. His interest piqued when he found himself becoming intrigued with managing challenging neuropsychiatry cases in the remote area of Hospital Tawau, Sabah. He received his Neuropsychiatry training in Hospital Pulau Pinang, HKL and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Khalil is also a regular reviewer in the Archives of Women’s Mental Health. He has special interests in epilepsy and traumatic brain injury. He is an avid reader and dearly known for his earnest enthusiasm and eagerness to teach young trainees.
