Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, HTAA

Dr Noorul Amilin binti Harun

Dr Amilin is a Senior Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with extensive years of working experience under the Ministry of Health (MOH) since 2000. She is based in the Psychiatric Department, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA), Kuantan and is also the Head of Psychiatry Service of Pahang State. She earned her medical degree from the University of Malaya (UM) in 2000 and pursued Masters in Medicine (Psychiatry) in University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2009. She completed her subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Women’s and Children’s Network in the charming city of Adelaide, South Australia in 2015. Her niche interest is Neurodevelopmental Disorder paired with her relentless dedication and enthusiasm to enhance the services and opportunities for these young minds. Dr Amilin has published many scientific papers in regional as well as international journals focusing on the mental health conditions among children and adolescents. Amongst her impressive contributions in the mental health development is her active role as a Member of Technical Working Group for Manual on Managing Mental Health Problems Among Adolescents for Primary Health Care Providers, a collaboration she did with the Family Health Development Division, the MOH and the World Health Organization, Western Pacific Region in 2012 to 2013.
