​In our recent years of battling COVID19, we have seen a rise in mental health issues in the country. As we move into the endemic phase beginning in April 2022, we continue to strive for the new changes in our lives and many people still struggle to adapt to these constant changes. This transition certainly reshaped our society and pushed people beyond their comfortable boundaries. The demand to fit in quickly and seamlessly left various impacts on our lives and in particular, our mental health.
 
Resilience became the new word to indicate strength, a capability much needed to adapt swiftly and successfully to stressful or traumatic events and to revert to a positive state. As clinicians, we acknowledge its importance and resilience can be the central target for the point of recovery in our patients.
 
This symposium aims to address the critical junctures of mental and physical health, disability, psychiatric services, and our work in the community parallel with our theme to be resilient and to move forward in this transition phase. Over the next two days, we will have talks, poster presentations and quiz sessions focusing on promoting better mental resilience, identifying obstacles and optimizing our clinical knowledge in the best possible way to help those from the very young age to the most senior in the population.
